THEORY OF OPERATION - CONTINUED
The driveshaft transmits power from the diesel engine flywheel through the case and frame to the input of the transmis-
sion. It is accessible by removal of the plate on the transmission.
The front axles transmit power from the final drive to the wheels of the tractor.
Planetary Gear System.
Reduces RPM and multiplies torque for
at the drive wheels.
Free-Floating Axles. Both axles are free-floating and independently removable.
The rear axle is made up of two wheel/axle assemblies bolted to the scraper bowl frame. The assemblies run on tapered
roller bearings in constantly lubricated compartments.
