WARNING
Use caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during procedure.
Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts
supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death.
NOTE
Weight of tractor portion of 621B Scraper is 44,000 lb (19,960 kg). Weight of scraper portion is 25,000
lb (11,340 kg).
When hooking up cables or slings, 22-25 ft (6.7-7.7 m) long spreader bars are recommended between
the front and rear cables.

Remove clamps and shipping stops on steering portion cylinder rods.

Walk around 621B Scraper. Look for chipped paint, loose bolts, and obvious damage. Inspect hoses, lines, fittings, elec-
trical wiring and other items.

Connect batteries (WP 010300).

Enter operator compartment. Check controls. Neutralize hydraulic levers. Put transmission lever in Neutral (N) and
lock.

Energize electrical system with master switch.

Depress accelerator pedal past detent.
11.
Operate engine. Observe oil pressure reading on gage. Allow air pressure to build to a minimum of 60 psi (414 kPa).
