CLEANING AND INSPECTION
WARNING
Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and low toxic
material. However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves and goggles. Use in
well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other sources of ignition.
Particles blown by compressed air are hazardous. DO NOT exceed 15 psi (103 kPa) nozzle pressure
when drying parts with compressed air. Use a maximum of 30 psi (207 kPa) when cleaning compo-
nents. DO NOT direct compressed air against human skin. Failure to follow this warning may result in
injury or death. Make sure air stream is directed away from user and other personnel in the area. To pre-
vent injury, user must wear eye protection.
1.
Remove all gasket material from all mounting surfaces.
2.
Clean all parts with solvent.
3.
Dry all parts with compressed air.
4.
Inspect all parts for damage and replace as necessary.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install bracket (11), two bolts (9) and washers (10).
2.
Install two studs (27) on oil filter adapter (12).
3.
Install oil filter adapter (12), four bolts (23) and washers (22) on bracket (11).
4.
Install stud (26) in oil filter head (5).
5.
Install shield (25) and two screws (24) on filter head (5).
6.
Install new gasket (4), access cover (3), bolts (1), washers (2), washers (31) and four nuts (30) on oil filter head (5).
7.
Install new gasket (8), oil filter head (5), washers (7) and two bolts (6) on oil filter adapter (12).
8.
Install two washers (28) and nuts (29).
9.
Install hoses (13 and 14) on machine.

Install two new preformed packings (21) and adapters (20).
12.
Connect hoses (13 and 14) to oil filter adapter (12).
13.
Install four flange halves (17), eight washers (16) and bolts (15).
14.
Install new preformed packing (19) and valve assembly (18).
