FUEL PRIMING PUMP REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

PRIMING THE FUEL SYSTEM
1.
Pull accelerator pedal past the detent (TM 5-3805-248-10).
2.
Loosen nut (5) at outlet of secondary fuel filter.

Unlock the priming pump plunger and pump until fuel flows free of air bubbles.
4.
Tighten nut (5).
5.
If removing air from fuel injection lines, if necessary, loosen nuts on fuel injection lines at pump (WP 00030 00).
6.
Move accelerator to low idle position (out of stopped detent). Crank engine with starting motor (TM 5-3805-248-10).
7.
When fuel flows from lines free of air, tighten injection lines (WP 0030 00).
