HEADLIGHTS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

HEADLIGHT LAMP INSTALLATION
1.
Connect harness assembly (11) to lamp (10).
2.
Install lamp (10).
3.
Install terminal lug (9) and screw (13).
4.
Verify correct operation of headlights (TM 5-3805-248-10).
HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
1.
Remove screw (8) from rear of high beam headlight housing (1) assembly.
2.
Disconnect connector (2).
3.
If necessary, remove headlight lamp. Refer to Headlight Lamp Removal in this work package.
4.
If necessary, remove screw (14) and terminal lug (15) from lens retainer (12).
5.
If necessary, remove lens retainer (12) from high beam headlight housing (1).
6.
Remove nut (4), lockwasher (5) and spacers (6 and 7). Discard lockwasher.
7.
Remove headlight housing (1).
8.
Remove spacer (3).
HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
1.
Install spacer (3).
2.
Install high beam headlight housing (1) assembly.
3.
Install spacers (7 and 6), new lockwasher (5) and nut (4).
4.
If removed, install lens retainer (12), terminal lug (15) and screw (14) on high beam headlight housing (3).
5.
If removed, install headlight lamp. Refer to Headlight Lamp Installation in this work package.
6.
Connect connector (2).
7.
Install screw (8).
8.
Verify correct operation of headlights (TM 5-3805-248-10).
