RETARDER OIL COOLER LINES REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
CAUTION
Wipe area clean around all connections prior to removal. Cap oil lines and plug openings after removing
lines. Contamination of oil system could result in premature failure.
NOTE
Tag all hoses before disconnecting to ensure correct installation.
Use a container to capture draining oil. Dispose of oil IAW local policy and ordinances. Ensure all spills
are cleaned up.
1.
Remove four bolts (4), washers (3), two flange halves (2), hose assembly (5) and preformed packing (1) from retarder
oil cooler assembly. Discard preformed packing.
2.
Remove four bolts (6), washers (7), two flange halves (9), hose assembly (8) and preformed packing (10) from retarder
oil cooler assembly. Discard preformed packing.

Remove four bolts (17), washers (16), two flange halves (18), hose assembly (5) and preformed packing (19) from tube
assembly (20). Discard preformed packing.
4.
Remove four bolts (15), washers (14), two flange halves (13), hose assembly (8) and preformed packing (12) from tube
assembly (11). Discard preformed packing.
