5.
Install four lifting links on top of heater assembly (7).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during proce-
dure. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death.
NOTE
Weight of heater assembly is 175 lb (80 kg).

Install lifting device to four lifting links.
7.
With assistance, use lifting device to lift heater assembly (7) approximately 12 in. (30 cm) above operator compartment.
8.
If damaged, remove and discard two seals (8) and four seals (10) from underside of heater assembly (7).
WARNING
Immediately wipe up any spills. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury.
CAUTION
Wipe area clean around all connections to be opened during removal. Cap coolant lines and plug openings
after removing lines. Contamination of cooling system could result in premature failure.
NOTE
Use a container to capture draining coolant. Dispose of coolant IAW local policy and ordinances.
Tag hose assemblies prior to removal to ensure correct installation.

Disconnect two hose assemblies (9) from heater

Using lifting device, remove heater assembly (7).
11.
Remove lifting device.
12.
Remove lifting links from heater assembly (7).
