WARNING
Use caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use two assistants during procedure.
Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy
parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death.
CAUTION
Use care not to damage surrounding hoses, harnesses and components.
NOTE
Weight of engine assembly is 3,150 lb (1,429 kg).

Use hoist and sling to lift engine assembly (55) high
enough to clear frame.

Pull engine assembly forward and remove from
machine. Place on engine stand.

CLEANING AND INSPECTION
WARNING
Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and low toxic
material. However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves and goggles. Use in
well-ventilated areas. Keep away from open flames and other sources of ignition.
Particles blown by compressed air are hazardous. DO NOT exceed 15 psi (103 kPa) nozzle pressure
when drying parts with compressed air. Use a maximum of 30 psi (207 kPa) when cleaning compo-
nents. DO NOT direct compressed air against human skin. Failure to follow this warning may result in
serious injury or death. Make sure air stream is directed away from user and other personnel in the area.
To prevent injury, user must wear eye protection.
1.
Clean all metal parts with solvent and rubber parts with detergent.
2.
Dry all metal parts with compressed air.
3.
Inspect all parts for damage and replace as necessary.
