Use lifting device to remove bevel gear assembly and

differential (5) from transmission.
6.
Remove and discard preformed packings (3, 4, 6
and 7) from bevel gear assembly (5).

Use lifting device to take up slack until rear of differ-
ential and bevel gear assembly (5) is facing upward.
8.
Use lifting device to lower differential and bevel gear
assembly (5) on wood blocks.
9.
Remove lifting device.
