Install the crown on the cylinder Use tool (G) to
tighten the crown to the correct torque Use the
following formula to determine the correct
amount of force (in lbs.) to use to get the correct
torque.
X=
"X" is the amount of force (In pounds) needed to get the
correct torque on the crown.
"Y" is the torque that is needed.
"Z" is the distance (In feet) from the centerline of the
cylinder to the position of the hand on the handle
of the chain wrench group (or extension if
needed)
NOTE: Tighten the crown with the rod fully extended
This will keep cylinder, piston and head in better
alignment
14.
Tighten the crown for all the cylinders to a torque
of 475 + 270 - 0 Nom (350 + 200 - 0 lb. ft)
15.
Fasten a hoist to the cylinder, and remove it from
tooling (A).
