With assistant holding alternator (1), remove washer

(5), bolt (4) and remove alternator (1) from mount-
ing bracket (21).

INSTALLATION

NOTE
Alternator weighs 32 lb (15 kg).
1.
With assistance, position alternator (1) on mounting bracket (21) and install bolt (4) and washer (5) approximately
1/2 in. (13 mm).
2.
Tilt alternator (1) towards engine and install two drive belts (19) on pulley (20).
3.
Position alternator (1) and adjusting bracket (17) on support arm (18) and install bolt (4) and washer (5) approxi-
mately 1/2 in. (13 mm).
