Attach bearing link, nylon strap, and a suitable over-

head lifting device to wheel (4). Take up slack in
sling.

Remove eight bolts (5), retainer plate (6), and wheel
bearing adjustment shims from spindle.

WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during
procedure. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep
clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or
death.
NOTE
Wheel weighs 183 lb (83 kg).
4.
Remove hub (2) from wheel (4). Remove wheel

from machine. Remove sling and bearing link from
wheel.
