INITIAL ADJUSTMENTS AND DAILY CHECKS
NOTE
Refer to WP 0004 00 for the location and operation of controls.
Perform Before operation Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) BEFORE starting engine (WP 0013 00

and WP 0014 00).
2.
Ensure battery disconnect switch is in ON position.
3.
Occupy and adjust seat.
4.
Adjust rearview and exterior mirrors as required.
WARNING
Do NOT operate machine unless seat belt has been fastened. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury
or death.
5.
Fasten seat belt.
START ENGINE
WARNING
Do NOT operate tractor engine in enclosed areas due to the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning from
exhaust fumes. Always start and operate engine in a well-ventilated area and, if in an enclosed area, vent
exhaust to the outside.
Be ALERT for personnel in the area while operating machine. Always check to ensure area is clear of person-
nel and obstructions before starting engine, moving machine or lowering or raising scraper bowl. Failure to fol-
low this warning may cause injury or death or damage to equipment.
Hearing protection is required when operating machine. Failure to wear hearing protection may cause hearing
loss.
NOTE
Refer to WP 0004 00 for the location and operation of controls.
1.
Starting Engine Above 32F (0C).
a.
Ensure scraper bowl is lowered.
b.
Ensure parking brake is applied (parking brake control knob pulled out).
c.
Ensure transmission is in N (Neutral) with shift lever locked.
d.
Ensure all machine hydraulic control levers are in center HOLD position.
e.
Ensure all accessories are off.
f.
Ensure all personnel are clear of machine.
g.
Insert battery disconnect switch key and turn to ON position.
