Disconnect switch must be in the ON position for the machine light switch assembly to operate.

Auxiliary switch. Four-position switch.
(a) PANEL BRIGHT position. Instrument panel lamps brightly on.
(b) DIM position. Instrument panel lamps dimly on.
(c) OFF position. Instrument panel lamps off. Service or blackout tail lamps off.
(d) PARK position. Instrument panel lamps dimly on. Service tail lamps on (main switch in SERVICE
DRIVE position). Blackout tail lamps on (main switch in BLACKOUT DRIVE position or BLACK-
OUT MARKER position).
NOTE
Main switch must be in any position other than OFF for auxiliary switch to operate.

Mechanical lock. Spring-loaded, two-position switch.
(a) LOCK position (unmarked). Prevents movement of main switch.
(b) UNLOCK position. Enables movement of main switch. Hold lever in UNLOCK position and move
main switch to desired position.
Sending Units. Relay changes in machine condition to instruments. Include converter/retarder temperature (located on

coolant line beneath engine), water temperature (located on front top of engine head) and ground-driven steering pump
pressure indicator (located at inlet check valve of main pump on front of transmission transfer case).
