corner of the operator compartment.
Disconnect Switch. Located between transmission control lever and right side of operator compartment, in front of
9.
hydraulic control levers. Disconnects batteries from electrical system.
Air Dryer Heater. Located on air dryer at front of vehicle. Thermostatically controlled to maintain above-freezing tem-

peratures for evacuation of moisture from air system. The 60 watt, 24-volt DC heater and thermostat assembly has an
operating range between 50oF and 85oF.
TRANSMISSION

Eight-speed, semi-automatic, power-shift.
Selection of Gears. Selection is
manual for all gears. Shifting is
automatic for third through eighth gear. In
reverse, first

and second gears, the flow of power is from the engine to the torque converter, to the transmission, to the differential
and on to the final drive. In third through eighth gears, the torque converter is coupled so power flows directly to the
transmission.
Transmission Oil Quality. Oil can be checked with the sampling valve. This is located at the left rear of the transmis-

sion, next to the left brake actuator.
Foot-Operated Hold Control Valve. When engaged, prevents shifting up or down.
3.
Foot-Operated Differential Lock Pedal. When engaged, prevents either wheel from slipping during travel on slippery

terrain.
