Blackout Drive Lamp Is
Inoperative.
WARNING
Remove all jewelry, watch, rings, etc. prior to disconnecting cables from batter-
ies or other electrical source. Items can come in contact with battery or electrical
source and cause electrical shock. Failure to follow this warning may cause
injury or death.
Make sure wheels are chocked and bowl is lowered to ground for all tests. Fail-
ure to do so may cause injury or death.
Eye protection must be worn when performing maintenance where components
or particles could fly out during procedure. Failure to take precautions may
cause injury.
NOTE
For detailed electrical diagram, refer to WP 0005 00.
1. Clean and tighten as necessary.

Make sure electrical connections,
including blackout drive lamp chassis
2. If continuity is indicated, go to Test 2.

Check blackout drive lamp assembly.
a. Replace blackout drive lamp bulb
1. If light operates correctly, blackout
assembly with a known good one
drive lamp bulb assembly was faulty.
2. If light still doesn't operate correctly, go
to Test 3.

Check blackout drive lamp for
continuity to ground.
a. Place battery disconnect switch in
OFF position (TM 5-3805-248-10).
b. Set multimeter to appropriate ohm
(Ω) range (WP 0018 00).
c. Disconnect light switch electrical
connectors (WP 0067 00).
