Blackout Stoplamps/Tail
Lights Are Inoperative
(Service Stoplights
Operate Correctly).
WARNING
Remove all jewelry, watch, rings, etc. prior to disconnecting cables from batter-
ies or other electrical source. Items can come in contact with battery or electrical
source and cause electrical shock. Failure to follow this warning may cause
injury or death.
Make sure wheels are chocked and bowl is lowered to ground for all tests. Fail-
ure to do so may cause injury or death.
Eye protection must be worn when performing maintenance where components
or particles could fly out during procedure. Failure to take precautions may
cause injury.
NOTE
For detailed electrical diagram, refer to WP 0005 00.

Determine whether both blackout
1. If service stoplamps are inoperative,
stoplamps and blackout tail lights are
service them first.

2. If only blackout tail lights are
inoperative, go to Test 6.
3. If only blackout stoplamps are
inoperative, go to Test 2.
4. If both blackout stoplamps and blackout
tail lights are inoperative, replace light
switch (WP 0067 00).

Check light switch.
a. Place battery disconnect switch in
OFF position (TM 5-3805-248-10).
b. Disconnect light switch electrical
connections (WP 0067 00).
c. Set multimeter to appropriate ohm
(Ω) range (WP 0018 00).
