MALFUNCTION

CORRECTIVE ACTION
11. Transmission Hold Does
Not Engage.
WARNING
Eye protection must be worn when performing maintenance where components
or particles could fly out during procedure. Failure to take precautions may
cause injury.
Make sure wheels are chocked and bowl is lowered to ground for all tests. Fail-
ure to do so may cause injury or death.
1. Check adjustment of transmission hold
valve pedal.
2. If problem still exists, go to Test 2.

Check for air supply to transmission
hold valve inlet.
If air pressure does not build, go to
a. Run engine and allow air pressure to
reach normal operating range (TM

c. Loosen air inlet line at transmission
and listen for air.
d. Apply transmission hold pedal.
1. Repair transmission if air pressure is
present at inlet (WP 0364 00).
2. If air pressure is not present at inlet, go
to Test 3.

assembly.
a. Run engine and allow air pressure to
reach normal operating range (TM

b. Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-248-
10).
c. Loosen air inlet line at transmission
If air pressure is present at transmission
hold control valve and listen for air.
