MALFUNCTION

12. Transmission Hold Does
Not Release.
WARNING
Eye protection must be worn when performing maintenance where components
or particles could fly out during procedure. Failure to take precautions may
cause injury.
Make sure wheels are chocked and bowl is lowered to ground for all tests. Fail-
ure to do so may cause injury or death.
1.
Check transmission hold control valve
assembly.
If air pressure does not build, go to
a. Run engine and allow air pressure to
reach normal operating range (TM

b. Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-248-
10).
c. Loosen air inlet line at transmission
and listen for air.
d. Do not apply hold pedal.
1. If air pressure is present at transmission,
replace transmission hold control valve
2. If air pressure is not present at
transmission, go to Test 2.

adjustment.
