MILITARY CONNECTOR REPAIR
1.
Slide shell (21) back on wire (22) to expose sleeve (23).
2.
Remove sleeve (23) from terminal (24) by pulling sleeve forward.
3.
If defective, remove terminal (24) from wire (22) by cutting through wire just behind terminal. Discard terminal.
NOTE
Perform steps 4 through 6 only if terminal was removed.
4.
Strip insulation of wire (22) to expose length of metal

strands (25) equal to depth of new terminal (24).

5.
Securely crimp new terminal (24) to metal strands
(25) of wire (22).
6.
Install sleeve (23) to terminal (24) by pushing sleeve
over front of terminal until fully seated.

7.
Slide shell (21) up wire (22) and over sleeve (23).
RING TERMINAL REPAIR
1.
Remove ring terminal (26) from wire (27) by cutting through wire just behind heat shrink tubing (28). Discard terminal.
2.
Cut new heat shrink tubing (28) to length sufficient to cover tabs (29 and 30) of ring terminal (26) and in. (6 mm) of
wire (27).
3.
Slide heat shrink tubing (28) back on wire (27).
4.
Strip insulation of wire (27) to expose proper length of metal strands (31).
5.
Securely crimp tabs (30) of new ring terminal (26) over metal strands (31).

Crimp tabs (29) of ring terminal (26) over insulation

7.
Slide heat shrink tubing (28) over two tabs (29) of ring
terminal (26).
8.
Using heat gun, apply heat to heat shrink tubing (28)

until tubing snugly conforms to ring terminal (26) and
insulation of wire (27).
