SHOCK ABSORBER TYPE REMOVAL
WARNING
Eye protection must be worn when performing maintenance where components or particles could fly
out during procedure. Failure to take precautions may cause injury.
Some components are under spring tension. Wear eye protection and use extreme caution when disas-
sembling them to avoid injury.
Do not disassemble the tensioner spring assembly (2). Failure to follow this warning could result in
injury or damage to equipment.
1.
Remove nut (6), pin (4), cotter pin (3) and stud (5). Discard cotter pin.
2.
Remove nut (1) and tensioner spring assembly (2).

Remove four bolts (8) and tensioner arm (11) assembly from front of engine.
SHOCK ABSORBER TYPE INSTALLATION
Install tensioner arm (11) assembly and four bolts (8).
