STARTING MOTOR GROUND WIRE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL - CONTINUED
1.
Remove nut (6) and lockwasher (5) from starting motor. Discard lockwasher.
2.
Disconnect starting motor ground wire (7) at starting motor.
3.
Remove lockwasher (4). Discard lockwasher.
4.
Remove bolt (3), lockwasher (2), starting motor ground wire assembly (7) and lockwasher (1). Discard lockwashers.

INSTALLATION
1.
Install new lockwasher (1), starting motor ground wire assembly (7), new lockwasher (2) and bolt (3).
2.
Install lockwasher (4).
3.
Connect starting motor ground wire (7) at starting motor.
4.
Install new lockwasher (5) and nut (6) on starting motor.
5.
Connect battery cables (WP 0104 00).
6.
Start engine and verify correct operation (TM 5-3805-248-10).
7.
Install crankcase guard (WP 0201 00).
