TRANSMISSION OIL DRAIN AND REFILL - CONTINUED

NOTE
Lubricate all preformed packings with clean lubricating oil prior to installation.
1.
Install new preformed packing (2) on plug (1).
2.
Install plug (1).
3.
Remove shield (3) and transmission fill cap (4).
4.
Add transmission oil until visible in sight gage (5).
5.
Install transmission fill cap (4).
6.
Operate machine until oil reaches operating temperature (TM 5-3805-248-10).
7.
Check the oil level with the engine operating at low idle.
8.
Add transmission oil as necessary until at full line at top of sight gage (TM 5-3805-248-10).
9.
Install shield (3).
10.
Check transmission and plug (1) for oil leaks.
