CLEANING AND INSPECTION
WARNING
Solvent cleaning compound MIL-PRF-680 Type III is an environmentally compliant and low toxic material.
However, it may be irritating to the eyes and skin. Use protective gloves and goggles. Use in well-ventilated
areas. Keep away from open flames and other sources of ignition.
1.
Clean metal parts of brake assembly with solvent cleaning compound. Do not use a metal brush on brake assembly or to
apply the solvent cleaning compound.
2.
Dry brake assembly using clean rags.
3.
Clean brake assembly again using soap and water. Apply with a soft bristle brush or a cloth.
ASSEMBLY
1.
Lubricate with grease and install expansion plug (21), gear (18), worm (20) and shaft (19).
2.
Install ball (22), spring (23) and bushing insulator (17).
