HEATER ASSEMBLY LINES AND FITTINGS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
CAUTION
Wipe area clean around all connections to be opened during removal. Cap coolant lines and plug openings after
removing lines. Contamination of cooling system could result in premature failure.
NOTE
Use container to capture draining coolant. Dispose of coolant IAW local policy and ordinances. Ensure
all spills are cleaned up.
Tag hose and tube assemblies prior to removal to ensure correct installation.
Note routing of heater hose assemblies prior to removal to ensure correct installation.
1.
Drain cooling system to level below coolant valves (1 and 7) (WP 0042 00).
2.
Loosen two clamps (3 and 5) and slide up on hose assemblies (4 and 6).
3.
Disconnect hose assemblies (4 and 6) from coolant valves (1 and 7).
4.
Remove coolant valves (1 and 7).
5.
Remove clamps (3 and 5) from hose assemblies (4 and 6).
6.
Remove elbow (8) and bushings (2 and 9) from water pump cover.
