Remove nine bolts (10), washers (11) and clamps (12).

Remove four clamps (14) and two spacers (15) from
hose assemblies (4 and 6).
9.
Remove two hose assemblies (4 and 6) from adapters
(13).
10.
Remove two adapters (13) from fittings on heater
assembly.

INSTALLATION
NOTE
Apply anti-seizing tape half way up the threads of all hose and fitting connections prior to installation to
ensure correct sealing.
1.
Install two adapters (13) in hose assemblies (4 and 6).
2.
Connect two adapters (13) on fittings on heater assembly.
3.
Install two spacers (15) and four clamps (14) on hose assemblies (4 and 6).
4.
Position hose assemblies (3 and 5) on machine.
5.
Install nine clamps (12), washers (11) and bolts (10).
6.
Install bushings (9 and 2) and elbow (8) in water pump cover.
7.
Install coolant valves (1 and 7).
8.
Position clamps (4 and 6) on hose assemblies (4 and 6).
9.
Connect hose assemblies (3 and 5) on coolant valves (1 and 7).
10.
Tighten clamps (4 and 6) on hose assemblies (4 and 6).
11.
Refill coolant (WP 0042 00).
12.
Start engine (TM 5-3805-248-10).
13.
Operate heater assembly to verify correct operation (TM 5-3805-248-10).
14.
Check hose assemblies and fittings for leaks.
15.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-248-10).
