REMOVAL
1.
Use puller group to remove and discard crankshaft front seal (1) from front of engine.
CAUTION
Use care not to damage surface of crankshaft during removal of crankshaft front seal wear sleeve. Failure to
observe this caution could cause damage to crankshaft surface and result in damage to new seal after instal-
lation.
2.
Use hammer and chisel to cut and discard front seal
wear sleeve (2) from crankshaft (3).
3.
Remove any cuts from crankshaft (3) caused by
removal of front seal wear sleeve (2).
