Remove thebolts holding the steering axle to the front belly pan.Start the engine and lower the bowl to raise the front ofthe tractor to provide clearance for steering axle removal.Roll the steering axle out from under the tractor andSTOP THE ENGINE.NOTEUse two people to roll axle to storage positionon rear of bowl.(25)Position the steering axle bar into thelower hooks on the rear frame. Start the engine andmove the ejector back to rear of bowl.(26)Connect the spring assembly withcables to steer axle and ejector.WARNINGSpring bar may catch on battery or fuel tankstorage brackets and cause cable to breakfree. Stand clear until axle is in attachingposition.CAUTIONBefore raising steering axle, be sure bowl is infully raised position.3-39
