FINAL DRIVE MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
1.
Install two chain link ends (5) and attach a nylon sling and suitable lifting device to final drive (3).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during
procedure. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable lift capacity. Keep
clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may result in death
or injury to personnel.
NOTE
Final drive weighs 93 lb (42 kg).
2.
Using guide bolts (4), install final drive (3) on wheel assembly with two washers (2) and screws (1).
3.
Install 13 remaining washers (2) and screws (1) on final drive (3). Tighten screws to 96 lb-ft (130 Nm), then tighten
screws an additional 120.

Install front axle shaft (WP 0078 00).
