VALVE COVER AND BASE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
1.
Remove twelve bolts (12) from valve covers (1 and 4).
2.
Remove valve covers (1 and 4) and seals (5 and 11) from top of valve cover bases (6 and 10). Discard seals.
3.
Remove remaining fourteen bolts (7) from valve cover bases (6 and 10).
4.
Remove valve cover bases (6 and 10) and seals (8 and 9) from cylinder head. Discard seals.
NOTE
Only perform the following steps if plug or adapter are damaged and/or require replacement.
5.
Punch out and remove plug (2). Discard plug.
6.
Punch out and remove adapter (3). Discard adapter.
