SECONDARY FUEL FILTER AND BASE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

FILTER BASE REMOVAL
NOTE
Tag lines prior to removal to ensure correct installation.
Use a container to capture draining fuel. Dispose of fuel IAW local policy and ordinances. Ensure all
spills are cleaned up.
CAUTION
Wipe area clean around all connections to be opened during removal and disassembly. Cap lines and plug
openings after removing lines. Contamination of fuel system could result in premature failure.
1.
Disconnect lines from secondary fuel filter base (WP 0035 00).
2.
Remove two bolts (2), washers (13) and base (12) from front of hydraulic tank.
NOTE
Remove stud only if inspection indicates replacement is necessary.
3.
If stud (11) is damaged, remove and discard stud.
4.
Remove bolts (6 and 7) and washers (5 and 8).
5.
Remove cover (9) and gasket (10). Discard gasket.
6.
Remove plug (4) and preformed packing (3). Discard preformed packing.
