ALTERNATOR BELT REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
1.
Install alternator belt (10).
2.
Rotate guard assembly (11) counterclockwise to align guard with bolt (3).
3.
Loosely install nut (1) and washer (2) on bolt (3).
4.
Tighten nut (4).
5.
Using a 6-in. scale at midpoint between pulleys, adjust nuts (4 and 6) to achieve 7/8" (2.2 cm) of deflection on belt. Use
your hand with moderate amount of force to measure belt deflection.
6.
Tighten nut (6), bolts (3, 5, 8 and 9).
