WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during proce-
dure. Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death.
NOTE
Starting motor weighs 77 lb (35 kg).

Loosen three bolts (12).
7.
Attach lifting device to support starting motor (15).
8.
Remove three bolts (12) and washers (13).
9.
Remove starting motor (15) and gasket (14). Discard gasket.
