SERVICE STOP/TAIL LIGHT REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

SERVICE STOP/TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
1.
Remove nut (6) and lockwasher (7). Discard lockwasher.
2.
Rotate tail light (4) for access to rear.
3.
Remove two screws (10).
4.
Disconnect two wire connectors (11).
5.
Remove tail light (4).
6.
Remove spacer (5).
7.
If necessary, remove service stop/tail light lamp. Refer to Service Stop/Tail Light Lamp Removal in this work package.
8.
If necessary, remove two screws (3).
9.
If necessary, remove two wires (2) from terminals on tail light housing (4).
SERVICE STOP/TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
1.
If removed, connect two wires (2) to terminals on tail light housing (4).
2.
If removed, install two screws (3).
3.
If removed, install service stop/tail light lamp. Refer to Service Stop/Tail Light Lamp Installation in this work package
4.
Install spacer (5) in tail light (4).
5.
Loosely install tail light (4), new lockwasher (4) and nut (3).
6.
Connect two wire connectors (2) at terminals.
7.
Install two screws (10).
8.
Rotate tail light (4) and tighten nut (3) to 51 lb-ft (69 Nm).
9.
Verify correct operation of stop/tail lights (TM 5-3805-248-10).
