BLACKOUT STOP AND TAIL LIGHT MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

NOTE
The following maintenance procedure is for the left blackout stop and tail light. The maintenance proce-
dure for the right blackout stop and tail light is identical.
Tag all wire connectors, cables and wiring harnesses before disconnecting to ensure correct installation.
BLACKOUT STOP AND TAIL LIGHT LAMPS REMOVAL
1.
Loosen six screws (6) all the way.
2.
Remove lens retainer (7) from blackout tail light housing (2).
3.
If damaged, remove and discard preformed packing (5).
4.
If damaged, remove six retaining clips (4) from screws (6) and remove six screws (6) from lens retainer (7).
5.
Remove lamps (1 and 3).

BLACKOUT STOP AND TAIL LIGHT LAMPS INSTALLATION
1.
Install lamps (1 and 3).
2.
If removed, install six screws (6) on lens retainer (7) loosely.
3.
If removed, install six retaining clips (4) onto screws (6).
4.
If removed, install preformed packing (5) on lens retainer (7).
5.
Install lens retainer (7) and tighten six screws (6).
6.
Verify correct operation of blackout stop/tail lights (TM 5-3805-248-10).
BLACKOUT STOP AND TAIL LIGHT REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect two wire assemblies (13) from wire harness.
2.
Remove two bolts (15) and washers (16).
3.
Remove blackout tail light housing (2) assembly.
4.
Remove two spacers (17).
