HYDRAULIC RETARDER MAINTENANCE - CONTINUED

INSTALLATION
1.
Use clean lubricating oil to lightly coat inner bore of housing (12) sealing surfaces.
2.
Attach link bracket with a 5/8-112B THD bolt to hydraulic retarder assembly.
WARNING
Use caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during procedure.
Ensure that any lifting device used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy
parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may cause injury or death.
NOTE
Weight of retarder assembly is 210 lb (95 kg).
3.
Use a dolly to position hydraulic retarder assembly

Attach lifting device to link bracket on hydraulic
