Do not allow shim(s) to fall into differential case when bolts and cage are removed. Failure to comply can
cause damage to equipment.

Remove four bolts (28), washers (29), cage assembly
and eight shims (27).

CAUTION
Removal of bearing from cage will cause destruction of bearing. Remove bearing only if inspection indi-
cates replacement is necessary.

If bearing (31) is damaged, use a hammer and chisel to
remove and discard bearing (31) from cage (30).
