Assemble and installprecleaner.8.Replace the housing gasket if it is damaged. Installthe nuts to the studs on the element. Close the hood.Cleaning Air Cleaner ElementsWhen using pressure air, wear a face shield andprotective clothing. Use a maximum pressure of 30psi (205 kPa) for cleaning purposes.CAUTIONWhen cleaning with pressure water, use 40 psi (280kPa) maximum pressure to prevent element damage.7.Clean the housing. Uncover the air inlet opening.Install a new secondary element.9.Install the primary element and cover. Reset thefilter change indicator.CAUTIONDo not clean elements by bumping or tapping themon hard objects.Inspect an element after cleaning. Do not use anelement with damaged pleats, gaskets or seals.Have spare elements on hand to use when cleaningused ones.2-53WARNING
