PREPARATION FOR TRANSPORT INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
This chapter describes how to prepare the 621B scraper for the following modes of transport:
a.
Marine transport - Roll-on/Roll-off (RO/RO) procedures (WP 0018 00)
b.
Rail transport - procedures for CONUS and OCONUS countries (WP 0019 00)
c.
Highway transport - using commercial or military trailers (WP 0020 00)
GENERAL
1.
The 621B scraper is not approved for air transport.
2.
Check regulations covering transportation of cylinders containing compressed gas.
3.
Check travel route for overpass clearances. Be sure that there is adequate clearance for ROPS (Rollover Protective Struc-
ture) and heater assembly. Observe laws for width, weight and hauling permits.
