Supplemental Steering
Warning Lamp Always On
(Hydraulic Pressure OK).
WARNING
Remove all jewelry, watch, rings, etc. prior to disconnecting cables from batter-
ies or other electrical source. Items can come in contact with battery or electrical
source and cause electrical shock. Failure to follow this warning may cause
injury or death.
Make sure wheels are chocked and bowl is lowered to ground for all tests. Fail-
ure to do so may cause injury or death.
Eye protection must be worn when performing maintenance where components
or particles could fly out during procedure. Failure to take precautions may
cause injury.
NOTE
1.
Disconnect supplemental steering
1. If light goes out, replace supplemental
pump switch electrical connections
steering pump switch (WP 0364 00).
(WP 0364 00).
2. If light stays on, repair short to ground
between supplemental steering pump
switch and supplemental steering pump
warning lamp.

Hour Meter Is Inoperative.
1.
Verify correct operation of coolant
1. If either one inoperative, service those
temperature gage and converter/
items first. Refer to appropriate
retarder temperature gage.
Malfunction.
2. If both OK, go to Test 2.

Check for voltage to hour meter.
a. Place battery disconnect switch in
OFF position (TM 5-3805-248-10).
