REMOVAL
1.
Remove eight bolts (2) and washers (3) from front fan guard assembly (1) on engine.
2.
Remove fan guard assembly (1).
3.
Remove two bolts (7) and split two fan guard (1) halves.
CAUTION
Use care when removing lower shield assemblies so that ether starting aid tube is not dented, bent or punc-
tured. Failure to follow this procedure may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
It is not necessary to remove loop clamps (8) from harness assembly, ether starting aid tube or emergency
shut-off cable.
4.
Remove twenty-four bolts (4) and washers (5) from outer edges of shield assembly (6). Position harness assembly, ether
starting aid tube and emergency shut-off cable aside.
5.
Remove strip at bottom of shield (6). Remove four shield quarters.
