FLYWHEEL REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL - CONTINUED
1.
Install link bracket and 5/8-11 NC bolt on flywheel.
2.
Install lifting device to link bracket.
3.
Remove 12 bolts (1) and washers (2).
4.
Remove flywheel assembly (3) with bracket and place on a work bench.

INSTALLATION
1.
Install lifting device to bracket link and position on flywheel assembly (3).
2.
Install bolt.
3.
Use lifting device to install flywheel (3).
4.
Install 12 washers (2).
5.
Use clean oil to lubricate 12 bolts (1).
6.
Install 12 bolts (1) and torque to 210 lb-ft (285 Nm).
7.
Remove bolt.
8.
Remove lifting device and link bracket.
9.
Install hydraulic retarder (WP 0289 00).
10.
Install engine (WP 0257 00).
11.
Operate engine and verify correct operation (TM 5-3805-248-10).
