Clean the shank, pin and washer.
The tooth may be rotated 180° for more or less
penetration, as required.

Install the washer in the groove. Install the tooth.

Install the pin from the side of the tooth opposite the
washer. Center the pin in the tooth.

Elevator Chain
Maintain 7 to 10 in. (18 to 25 cm) between the chain and
the frame. Measure midway between the upper and
lower rollers. Also, adjust the chain if the sag differs
more than 2 in. (5 cm) from one side to the other.
If a chain must be taken up more than 3 in. (8 cm), use
an offset link to replace 2 links. If it must be let out more
than 3 in. (8 cm), insert an off set link between two links.
Use offset links in pairs, one on each chain, between the
same two elevator flights.
