TM 5-3805-260-24TORQUE CONVERTER9. Disconnect hose assemblies (13) and (14) and remove thetemperature sending unit (15) from the torque converter.10. Install a 5/8’’- 11 NC forged eyebolt in the top of thetorque converter and fasten a hoist.11. Remove bolts (16) and lower the torque converter to thefloor. Weight of the torque converter is 250 lb.(113 kg).INSTALL TORQUE CONVERTER1. Put the torque converter in position under the machine.2. Install a 5/8"- 1 NC forged eye bolt in the top of the torqueconverter and fasten a hoist.3. Install the gasket and lift the torque converter into positionon the machine.4. Install the bolts that hold the torque converter to theflywheel housing.5. Install the bolts that hold upper drive shaft (I) to the torqueconverter and tighten to a torque of 45 5 lb.ft.(60 7 Nm).3-158
