CLEANING AND INSPECTION - CONTINUED

Dry all parts with compressed air.
4.
Inspect all parts for damage and replace as necessary.
INSTALLATION
NOTE
Lightly coat all new preformed packings with clean oil prior to installation.
1.
Install tube assembly (1) behind ejector.
2.
Install flange half (5), spacer (4), two sleeves (3) and bolts (2) on tube assembly (1).
3.
Install new preformed packing (9) on hose assembly (10).
4.
Position hose assembly (10) and two flange halves (8) on tube assembly (1).
5.
Install four washers (7) and capscrews (6).
6.
Install bowl intermediate hydraulic hose assembly (WP 0164 00).
7.
Fill hydraulic tank to correct level (WP 0229 00).
8.
Start engine (TM 5-3805-248-10).
WARNING
Only a qualified operator may perform the following procedure. All other personnel must clear the immedi-
ate area of the vehicle. Failure to follow this procedure may cause injury. If you are injured, obtain medical
aid immediately.
NOTE
If hose or tube assemblies were removed from a certain system, such as ejector, then operate only ejector
control. If hose or tube assemblies were removed from all systems, then operate all the controls to complete
the next procedure.
9.
Operate hydraulic ejector control lever. Move system through at least five full movements of travel. This will bleed the
air out of the system.
10.
Shut down engine (TM 5-3805-248-10).
11.
Check oil level in hydraulic tank and add if necessary (TM 5-3805-248-10).
12.
Inspect all hose and tube assemblies for leaks.
