Put  the  differential  and  carrier  assembly  on  stand  (A) with the bevel gear down. 2. Remove yoke (I). 3. Remove bolts (3), seal retainer (2) and the gasket. 4. Remove seal (4) from retainer (2). 5. Remove   the   bolts   that   hold   housing   (5)   to   carrier assembly (6). 6. Install   two   1/2   "-13   NC   forcing   screws   and   loosen housing (5) from carrier assembly (6). 7. Remove    the  forcing  screws    and  install  two  3/8’’-  16 NC forged eyebolts in the top of housing (5).  Fasten a hoist to the housing and remove it and the pinion as a unit.  Weight of the unit is 85 lb.  (39 kg). 3-232
