INTAKE MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

CLEANING AND INSPECTION
1.
Thoroughly clean gasket mating surfaces to remove all traces of gasket material.
2.
Wipe mating surfaces dry.
3.
Inspect for damage to mating surfaces. There must be no damage to cylinder head or intake manifold.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install new gasket (2) on cylinder head (4).

Position intake manifold (1) on cylinder head.

Install bolts (3). Evenly tighten bolts to 21 lb-ft (28
Nm).

Install rocker arm cover (WP 0011 00).
5.
Install ether atomizer to intake manifold (WP 0022
6.
Install elbow and fuel tube assembly to intake mani-
fold (WP 0016 00).

ENGINE REMOVED FOR CLARITY
7.
Install muffler (WP 0025 00).
8.
Install air cleaner (WP 0018 00).
9.
Install air inlet heater and aftercooler (WP 0142 00).
