With assistance, measure brake actuator rod travel distance (A). Start with brake pedal released then apply and hold
brake pedal. If brake actuator rod movement is less than 2.5 in. (66 mm), brake adjustment is not necessary.

NOTE
Perform the following steps only if rod movement is more than 2.5 in. (66 mm).

Loosen screw (2).
4.
Rotate shaft (3) clockwise approximately 1/2 turn.
5.
Repeat steps 2 through 5 until brake actuator rod (1) travel is 1.62 in. (41 mm).
6.
Tighten screw (2).
7.
Operate machine and verify correct operation of service brakes (TM 5-3805-248-10).
