MECHANICAL STEERING ASSEMBLY ADJUSTMENT - CONTINUED

ADJUSTMENT
NOTE
Machine must be in straight ahead position before steering linkage adjustment is made.
1.
Turn steering wheel to right. Use force to turn steering wheel as far as it will go. This will push valve spool of steering
control valve all the way in.
2.
Measure the travel of valve spool, on left side behind cab, with 6-in. (15 cm) machinist's ruler. Note measurement of
valve spool.
3.
Turn steering wheel to left. Use force to turn steering wheel as far as it will go. This will move valve spool of steering
control valve all the way out.
4.
Measure the travel of valve spool. Note measurement of valve spool. If travel of valve spool does not fall within 1.12-
1.15 in. (2.8-2.9 cm) range, perform the following steps.
