TM 5-3805-260-24 ELEVATOR LOWER SHAFT DISASSEMBLE ELEVATOR LOWER SHAFT Tools Needed A 8B7551 Bearing Puller Attachment 1 8B7548 Puller Assembly 1 8H684 Ratchet Box Wrench 1 8B7549 Leg 2 3H465 Plate 4 1B4207 Nut 2 8S6586 Screw 1 start by: a) remove elevator I. Put the elevator on the floor. 2. Fasten a hoist to the elevator chain and lift the chain off the roller. 3. Remove nut and bolt (I) from the roller arm. Loosen the other nut on the roller arm to permit roller to pivot away from the chain. Remove hoist so chain is not tight. 4. Remove pin (lock) (2) from pin (3). Use hammer to remove pin (3) from the chain. 5.Do Steps 2, 3 and 4 to disconnect chain on other side. After both sides are disconnected lift flight (4) off the lower rollers. 6. Remove bolts (5) on the inside of hub (6). Remove the washer in back of the bolts. 7. Remove hub (6) with tooling (A). 4-150
